In solid, carved giltwood, each with outscrolled-ends and a seat covered in cream silk damask by Brunscwhig & Fils, with paneled friezes applied with oak leaves and acorns, on incurved legs with lion's paw feet, the underside of each inscribed 65.1137 B and 38584.

Probably Northern European, circa 1810.

Provenance: Acquired from Partridge, London, 21 November 1990.
