Item No. 1182 Portuguese, Baroque period coffre In solid walnut elaborately carved in deep relief, the top having molded and mask carved edges centering an armorial cartouche flanked by dragons; the facade having a gilt iron escutcheon surrounded by dragons and winged figures; with deeply carved base molding on ball and claw feet, distinctive dovetails, and carved side panels set with carrying handles.
