Large, Rennaisance period Hispano-Mauresque ceramic plate
Of unusually large size, tin-glazed and gadrooned with plant motifs. The center adorned with a bird in profile, the reverse decorated with concentric lines. From Spain, either Manises, Paterna or Triana. Circa 1550.

The rectangular moulded top above carved panels depicting shell-headed flowering urn flanked by acanthus and divided by scrolled pilasters, the sides carved conformingly, with moulded plinth and scrolled feet, the feet replaced. Late 16th or early 17th century.

In solid, carved walnut with boxwood inlay. Having original hinged top of a single walnut board opening to reveal a partial compartment, the front with a hidden cupboard door opening to reveal three drawers. Late 17th or early 18th century.

Upper compartment having seven drawers inlaid with tortoise-shell, ebony, and etched ivory country scenes and resting upon gilt bronze claw ball feet with pierced, gilt bronze freize. Having original lower walnut and iron folding table. Late 17th century.

The whole resting upon four acanthus-leaf decorated feet; the upper compartment with looking glass of large dimensions between two Corinthian columns resting upon a single drawer; The lower compartment having three drawers, with the top drawer opening to reveal a writing compartment; Circa 1820.
